Epic Wave 4 Go-Live Highlights

RWJBarnabas Health’s Epic Wave 4 implementation was a historic event! As of April 29, 2023, Epic became the predominant Electronic Health Record (EHR) at RWJBarnabas Health. During this time, Epic went live for the following Wave 4 locations:

  • Community Medical Center
  • Jersey City Medical Center
  • Monmouth Medical Center
  • Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus
  • RWJBarnabas Behavioral Health Center
  • Wave 4 Medical Practices

With our successful Wave 4 Go-Live, we moved one step closer to a fully unified system. We now have a single health record for patients at many RWJBarnabas Health facilities, including Robert Wood Johnson University Hospitals: Somerset, New Brunswick, Hamilton, and Rahway; The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital, Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ), Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Eric B. Chandler Health Center; and hundreds of affiliated medical practices throughout the enterprise.

This unification brings a single medication and problem list record for each patient, empowering providers with a dynamic and powerful tool for enhancing patient care.
