RWJBarnabas Health now has over a half-million patients on MyChart, far exceeding previous patient portal numbers and shattering our own patient engagement projections.
According to Brian Dobosh, Vice President, Digital Systems, RWJBH’s instance of MyChart has achieved impressive numbers since our first Epic implementation in May of 2021:
- 501,421 RWJBH patients, or 42%, are now active on MyChart, as of 12/4/23
- 7,645,275 RWJBH MyChart logins in 2023, averaging 13.5 logins per patient
“All facilities have doubled, tripled, and even quadrupled their rate of engagement for an RWJBH patient portal,” said Brian. “MyChart has become a powerful tool for enhancing the patient and provider experience, improving patient safety and engagement, and helping control the costs of healthcare in the long run.”
