All Active Top 10 Issues Have Been Resolved by Day 6!
Rob Adamson, Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer, announced on November 2nd, 2023, that all active Wave 5 Go-Live “Top 10” issues were resolved. The announcement was made after RWJBarnabas Health verified that Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center was taken off Pyxis Override.
During an Epic implementation, the Top 10 report provides a cross-check for all departments to highlight and review patient safety concerns. During Wave 5, all patients were safe, and the Pyxis Override was the only Top 10 issue. As of November 2nd, no other issues have escalated to the Top 10.
The RWJBarnabas Health Wave 5 Go-Live includes:
- Three Acute care facilities: Clara Maass Medical Center, Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center
- One federally qualified health center: St. James Health, via Community Connect
- 34 additional office practices with 100% of our combined medical group now on a single electronic health record
